Tracy’s Tuesday Tip: Tips for Sourcing at Publix For Amazon FBA

In this video, Tracy will share with us her top tips for sourcing at Publix.
Her first tip is to always keep business and personal, separate. Pay for it separately so that you will have 2 receipts. Keep your accountant happy and never mix your receipts separate. It will make their job so much easier.
#2 Tip is utilizing Buy One Get One Free. Whether it is Publix or another store that has BOGO deals, it is always good to try to take advantage of that savings. You will be cutting your price in half is tremendous for your profit margin.
#3 The next tip is to always use manufacturer , Publix (or your store’s) and competitor coupons when sourcing. If you can use the coupons along with the BOGO deals and your profit margins will soar. Tracy is able to use Winn-Dixie or Target’s coupons at her local Publix as well since they take coupons from the competitors that are close by.
4.)  Tracy’s next tip is to join all the club programs you can at www.publix.com.( or your local store’s website) so that you can get special coupons and special deals that are exclusive to club members.
5.) The next tip is to get to know the store staff. They will help keep you informed if any deals are coming up and will save boxes for you. Tracy shops at the same store all the time so that they all know her by name and they are help her with deals, coupons and even with the kids!
6.) This tip is about knowing your categories. If you are going to sell in groceries, know what products fit into that category. Tracy shares that some of the grocery items that she has had luck with is Capri Sun drinks, Gatorade, cereals and some of the health bars.
OK so now let’s head into the store with Tracy!
First thing that Tracy suggests is that she gets 2 shopping carts. This way she can have one cart that is for Amazon FBA and the other is for her personal groceries. That way she will have 2 receipts.
Next, Tracy’s gets a list from the front of the store that has all the Buy One Get One free listed. It shows the location of each item so it is easier to make sure that  she won’t miss any deal.  She suggests that we pick them up in advance so that way you can go home and  do the research with Amazon to see the ranking and prices, competition,etc. Once you decide what are the items you will want to get, then you can search your computer for coupons to help make the deal, even better.
Tracy shows us the flyer station at the front of the store where they have not only the flyers, the list of the BOGO’s, extra coupon flyers  and information on clubs that she had suggested you join to get extra coupons sent to you. Every store will have these so check out your local store and see what is available for you.
