With the busy lives that we all live today, it is hard to find the perfect balance between work and life, let alone have any time for you. Well, here are some ideas that will help you find your balance and maybe even have a little extra time for you.
First, set clear goals and prioritize what is most important to get done first, this way you will know where you are going and what you have to do to get there. An example of this will be to not say “lose weight”. Instead the goal will be to join a gym and to go 3 times a week with my friend. The goal is to go to the gym and the result will be that I will lose weight. By planning to go with my friend, it is making it more fun and upping my chances for success as well as creating some “me time” because I now have time to enjoy spending time with my friend.
Second, Have a structured formula in place. By knowing what is it that you have to do, you will most likely accomplish your goal. This is where mentors come in place. If you feel that you cannot achieve your goal on your own and you think you need some help with creating the formula, don’t be afraid to reach out for guidance. Tracy helped get me on the right track in my Amazon business and gave me the formula to help me achieve success. Tracy’s coaching program can help you avoid costly mistakes and give you the encouragement and knowledge you will need to get your personal formula in place. Third, Time management is the way that we are able to get as much accomplished in a work day. Focus on the most important tasks and the results. If there are tasks that are the ones that aren’t as important and take up too much time, need to be delegated or eliminated if possible. By using proper time management, you might be able to save time each day so that at the end of the day, you will have time to read a book or better yet, take a walk and listen to a book on audio! Then you will really maximize your “me time”.
Fourth, Stay organized. The quickest way to fail is to give up, the next way to fail is to become so disorganized that you fall off track and get discouraged and give up. Since giving up is not an option, write out your lists and create your schedule and stick to it. It will help you have a goal to work towards each day and give you time at the end of each day for “me time”.
Fifth, Take time off! Yep, take a vacation and take your weekends off. You might think that no one can function without you. Well, the truth is, a burned out, exhausted you won’t be of any use to anyone. Step back and take some time for you. A fresh prospective will help you come up with new ideas and accomplish tasks that you had lost interest in. So go on, schedule that little “get away” and take a break!
Sixth, Give yourself a reward. Once you have accomplished a goal, give yourself a reward. It can be something as simple as treating yourself to a latte in the AM if you get your tasks done today. If it is a large goal that is achieved, you can skip the latte and reward yourself with something more exciting, like a new outfit. They are your goals, so you can set the rewards! Rewards make tasks more fun and will help keep us motivated.
Seventh, Stay Healthy and Fit. It is important that you take time for you to exercise and eat healthy. You will have more energy, be able to stay more focused and accomplish more if you are healthy and in good shape. Exercise can be an exciting “me time” that you can share with a partner or a friend.
Eighth, Stay positive and enthusiastic about your goals, your accomplishment and life. If you have a good outlook on life, and surround yourself with fun, enthusiastic people, you will find it will help keep you motivated and positive about your goals and your life. If you make a mistake and fall down, don’t stress. Just pick yourself up and keep going. The only time you will fail is when you stop trying. So always stay excited because the mistake you made is nothing more than a lesson.
Ninth, Love what you do. If you do not love what you do, change it. Because as soon as you stop loving what you do, it becomes a task and a job. When you love what you do, it will be your passion and you will have great satisfaction and will feel rewarding. Not to mention, you will have a lot of fun doing it!
Tenth, Love your life. Look deep in your soul and do only what you truly love. Never settle for second best. You deserve the best and when you have the best, your soul will sing. Enjoy the journey.
