May 25, 2015
Tracy has us take out our 2015 Goals worksheet that we got from her on Amazon 360 and take a look at where we are with them. 4 months into 2015 and Entrepreneur Girl is wanting us to review the last 3 months and make any changes that we need to make. Are we on track for meeting our goals? Do we need to make changes? Delete any items? This is the time to do that.
Tracy gives us a list of 5 items to help us to analyze our goals
1,) Track your progress. Tracy talks about using Apps to assist you and suggests that we visit idonethis.com or we can even use a calendar and mark off an X when you were on track for the day. See how many days you can chain together those X’s.
2.) Make yourself accountable! Tell as many people as you can about your goal. That way you will have people cheering you on as well as holding you accountable to achieving your goal.
3.) Use a daily schedule. You will need to schedule time in your day to work on your goal. It will help you avoid making excuses for not working on your goal for the day. If you don’t set aside time for you to put it in your schedule, it is not going to happen. You have to use a schedule to make sure that there is no excuse for not working on your goal and staying focused. Set phone alerts to pop up and remind you of what you are supposed to be working on.
4.) Define your top 3-5 goals and hyper-focus on them for now for the next 3 months.
5.) Use logs, journals and action folders to help you stay organized and stay focused. Keep them on your desk so you will see them all the time and they will be a constant reminder.
Tracy reviews what her goals were for 2015 and how she made action folders from just plain manila folders. She has one for each one of her goals and goes through them each day. She keeps track of what she has done so far and what she has to do to stay on track to achieve her goal. She keeps those folders on her desk so she can review them often. She has time allotted in her schedule for her to review her action folders.
She also has her phone alerts set to remind her of what she is supposed to be working on at the time to help her stay focused. Also, Tracy keeps a log to write down what she is doing to hold herself accountable. She gives the example of logging what she ate and the exercise she did each day when she was trying to lose weight. That way, she knew that she was holding herself accountable for everything she was going to help her achieve her goal.
