The most important part of this process is actually joining the affiliate program. In order to do so you will need to have a website or blog. If you own a website, blog, or app already then you will be able to proceed with this process. From here you will have to make an Amazon account if you don’t already have one. This is an easy step that should only take a matter of seconds. You can make a general account with Amazon by going to their website and creating an account when they prompt you to log in. Once you make your account you will need to search for Amazon Affiliates. The affiliate program has their own separate website. From the affiliate website you will be prompted to log in once again, and at this time you will select “join now for free”. Amazon will then lead you to a 5 step process of signing up for this program. During these steps you will have to put forward your website domain, personal information, and your phone number. You will have to be verified for safety purposes by receiving an automated call from Amazon. Due to this verification process I suggest signing up for this affiliate program when you are able to be on the phone.

 

Using the Program

Now that your account with the Amazon Affiliate program is all set up, it’s time to start earning some serious passive income. At this moment you will need a place to put your affiliate links, like in a blog you are developing, or as a link in your website. Precautions

Now you don’t want to provide your users with a product link that doesn’t work well. You want the visitors of your website to TRUST you and your recommendations. So please watch the reviews of these products you are providing. Reason being that we don’t want to set our website visitors up for failure. If the website visitors trust your recommendations then they will be more likely to visit your website more and click on more links. Not to mention, if you provide services then your visitors will be more inclined to hire you.

Applying

So you will need to find a product that you would feel comfortable buying, and go to your SiteStrip. Depending on the format you want the product to pop up as, you will either choose text, image, or text+image. When you choose, you will provided a link to the product that will appear in that format. Meaning that if you were writing a blog and wanted to put an image of the product you were talking about, then you would be able to do so. Not only would you be able to put an image of the exact product, but if anyone clicked on the image then you would receive a commission.

This is a broad overview of this program. The Amazon Affiliate program is a great source of passive income. It works by generating you a link, which you then place in one of your domains. From here you are given a commission every time someone clicks on that link. Not only will you get a commission for bringing someone to Amazon, but you will be given an additional commission for anything they buy. Meaning that if someone is brought to Amazon through your link, and then decides to buy the product or other items within 24 hours, then you will be given a commission based off of what they buy.
