I use Profit Bandit now, but since the price change, I’m comparing other scanning tools. Watch this video to hear about ASellerTool, Profit Bandit, ScanPower, and Neat O Scan.
Tracy answers a question from a subscriber regarding what she is going to do about Profit Bandit since they are raising their prices.
The Profit Bandit app was $14.99 and will be $10 per month. At the time the changes didn’t reflect the iPhone app yet.
Tracy also uses the free eBay and Amazon seller apps. They both have built in scanners so you can scan a barcode when retail arbitraging. The free seller apps also let you check your seller accounts status.
Tracy shows the features of Profit Bandit app. It lets you calculate your profit on an item.
The bad thing about these apps is that it requires access to the internet while scanning items, so if you don’t have good cell phone reception in a store then it will be hard to check to see if an item is profitable.
NeatOScan.com you can use a iPod or PDA. It’s $50 per month. They do have a free trial so you could try it. You have to physically connect the iPod or PDA to the computer to download the database of products from Amazon. You have to keep the information updated since things change all the time with prices and sales stats. You can set an alert on the app to chime when there is a certain profit you enter.
ASellerTool.com Tracy likes better than NeatOScan because you can use your smartphone and download the database and use the internet connection. So if you are in a store without internet or cell service then the app will pull the info from the database. You can also set triggers for certain profit and you can even do an auto upload of the listing so it will be ready to go in your Amazon account. It would be in your seller account as a listing, you just have to enter the inventory or FBA info. So it does save time with this setting that you set up through ASellerTool.com account. At the time, there is a free trial then it will be $40 per month.
ScanPower.com is another app and was created by retail arbitrage Guru Chris Green. Chris Green is the author of Retail Arbitrage. He is known as the Guru of retail arbitrage. His book is well worth it if you are interested in retail arbitrage for Amazon FBA. This app also lets you change the prices of your products in Amazon FBA. You also can load a database of the product information from Amazon.
